We meet Tiana, a hardworking waitress trying to make ends meet in 1920s New Orleans. She moonlights as a jazz singer, whose stage persona is a princess. And when the spoiled Prince Naveen (who has been turned into a frog by the scheming Dr. Facilier) arrives to kiss a princess, he figures Tiana is the closest he'll get.

Well, there are complications, as the kiss turns Tiana into a frog. Together Tiana and Naveen make their way through the bayou to find the good voodoo priestess Mama Odie. They're helped along on their journey by a trumpet-playing alligator and a hopelessly romantic firefly.

Releasing in NY and LA on Thanksgiving Day (11/26/09) and nationwide December 11, The Princess and the Frog is sure to be the next Disney classic.
